Academic advising
Members of the Vilnius University community and applicants can contact academic counsellors at the Student Affairs and Careers Office (SACO) or at each academic department (faculty) to discuss issues related to the study process, finances, and internship opportunities. Career counselling
Members of the Vilnius University, who are looking for answers and advice to help them on their career path can register for consultations in English and Lithuanian. The Career Centre also organises training sessions, helps you prepare for job interviews, and offers CV and cover letter analysis. Lithuanian language courses
The Department of Lithuanian Studies at Vilnius University runs Lithuanian language courses for foreign students. Not only members of Vilnius University community can take the courses but also any individual 16 years of age and above. Students study in the beginner, intermediate, and advanced groups. The language of instruction is Lithuanian except for explanations in English for beginner students. After finishing the course, students will receive a course certificate.For more information, click here
Lithuanian Language and Culture Course of Kaunas Faculty offers a unique opportunity to learn Lithuanian, delve into the captivating culture and history of Lithuania and Kaunas, and connect with participants from every corner of the world. The programme combines four weeks of intensive Lithuanian language classes for beginners and workshops with a diverse range of cultural events, sightseeing tours and excursions. Mentoring
Students seeking personal development, having academic or career goals, looking for broader opportunities at university, unsure about their choice of studies or who have lost motivation to study can benefit from free of charge VU Mentoring program. The Mentoring Programme can also match you with an experienced, successful and inspiring mentor who can advise you on how to achieve your academic and professional goals. Support for students with disabilities
Vilnius University aims to provide equal opportunities for all members of the community to study and work. If you are a newly admitted first-year or current student and you have a disability, including mental, autism spectrum, attention or learning disabilities, which may cause individual needs during your studies, please fill in the form prior to the start of the semester. The Disability Coordinator will contact you to discuss your individual needs.

Short-term financial support instruments
Vilnius University students can apply for various scholarships. Students in difficult financial situations, in the event of unfortunate events such as illness of the student or his/her relative, death of a relative, natural disasters, etc., may receive a Community Support Scholarship.
