Job and Internship Proposals

Almost all students of Vilnus University undertake compulsory (i. e. foreseen in the study plan) internship during their studies. Therefore, we are always glad to offer our students a wider range of work and internship opportunities.

We invite you to share your job and internship offers with students via Career Management System karjera.lt – a system developed by 25 Lithuanian higher education institutions to help students and recent graduates get acquainted with career opportunities.

Smart Internship

Entrust Vilnius University students with your business case.

How does it work:

1. Express a problem (we call it a challenge) that your organisation is dealing with, and to which a solution still has not been found. You can submit your challenge by filling in the challenge submission form.
2. We will bring together an interdisciplinary team of 5–7 students to solve this challenge. Within 3 months students will analyse the problem and offer you a possible solution based on the analysis of organisation, market and your target group (the team works employing Business Design Thinking method).

Benefits for the organisation:

• The opportunity to contribute to the training of specialist.
• Early stage recruitment of potential future employees.
• New (fresh) approach to an existing business problem.

At Vilnius University we call this team internship a "smart internship". It is organised twice a year, starting in October and in February. Registration of the challenges (business cases) ends 1 month prior to the beginning of internship. You can learn more about smart internships here.

Meetings With Students – an Opportunity to Share Experience

We invite representatives of organisations to share their experience and knowledge with students. Quality content and real-life examples of daily activities will present your organisation better than dozens of leaflets, and will organically complement the knowledge delivered by our lecturers to students.

Meanwhile, every meeting with students for the organisation is an opportunity to create their own image as an employer and contribute to the training of future professionals.

Lectures and seminars can be organised:

• Either for students of a particular study program, field, and year, or can be open to all students interested in the topic offered.
• Either as part of a study subject scheduled in the curriculum (with prior agreement with the lecturer), or be held as an extra-curriculum activity.

Creation or Renovation of Educational and Leisure Facilities

We aim to ensure student-oriented learning process with a focus to an individual, who has own needs, learning styles and ideas. Therefore, we pay much attention to physical environment at the University for both studies and leisure activities.
