Current and prospective students are invited to contact the Student Affairs and Career Office to get information on matters related to the admission and study process at Vilnius University, to find out their rights and opportunities or to discuss an individual study schedule. By the same token, you can find concise tips for the teaching staff on the Intranet, helping better understand the different types of disability and the ways to meet the needs of students with disabilities.

Training

One of the aims of the University is to meet the individual requirements of its students with disabilities. In order to provide reasonable adjustments and create an inclusive environment, it is important for all members of the community to be aware of the challenges associated with different types of disability, as well as possible solutions.

In the autumn semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, we have planned seminars on these types of disability:

• The requirements of students with hearing disabilities (video);
• Studies and psychosocial disability (more detailed information will follow);
• Autism and higher education: challenges and solutions (more detailed information will follow).

In 2019, the conference "University Open to Autistic People: From Vision to Implementation" was held at Vilnius University. It was organized together with the Lithuanian Autism Association "Lietaus vaikai" and was the first conference in Lithuania to address the issue of autism in higher education.
