You asked, we did!
We, a team of the Career Centre, appreciate your feedback on our services. We always thoroughly examine students’ suggestions on improvement of career consultations and training sessions and strive to implement them. We are looking forward to receiving your suggestions via , as well as via survey that you receive if you attended the events organised by the Career Centre.
From now on, we will share which of students’ suggestions we have implemented. Maybe the idea implemented was provided by you?
Suggestion about shorter training sessions
We received some suggestions to make career training sessions shorter. Students noted that training sessions which last for 3-4 hours are too long and thus result in tiredness and difficulties to keep the focus.
Implementation of the suggestion
Now we organise majority of the training as a cycle of shorter training sessions (up to 2 hours) that take place on separate days. In this way, we avoid “flooding” you with too much information and causing the tiredness.
Suggestion about meetings with VU international alumni
We were provided with suggestions to organise more frequent meetings with Vilnius University international alumni who stayed in Lithuania after graduation and built a successful career there. Requests were for international alumni to share their experience and practical advices with international students currently studying at Vilnius University.
Implementation of the suggestion
We invite Vilnius University international alumni who live in Lithuania and built a successful career there to join the regular training sessions in English “For Your Career Start” organised by the Career Centre. During the training session, international alumni share their experience on how they entered Lithuanian labour market, what kind of challenges they faced, how they overcame these challenges and also answer students’ questions.

Suggestion about increasing the promotion of training sessions
We received feedback from the students that sometimes they do not find information about training sessions organised by the Career Centre. It was suggested to use more information channels for the events.
Implementation of the suggestion
The Career Centre now uses a big variety of information channels to promote the training sessions: newsletters, Facebook, Instagram, TV screens at university, also cooperates with the university faculties for additional promotion. We do our best to ensure that students have as many opportunities as possible to spot our approaching events.
