Evaluation of the usefulness os State participation in pension accumulation systems. Lithuanian Research Council project (Project No. S-MIP-20-3) Project leader Prof. Dr Tadas Gudaitis, Researchers: prof. Dr. Teodoras Medaiskis, dr. Virginija Poškutė, Jarosval Mečkovski. 2020-2023.
During the project, the state participation in pension accumulation systems has been evaluated on an actual benefit basis in terms of macroeconomics, protection of interests of accumulation participants, and social aspects in selected Eastern and Central European countries during the last 20 years. To propose fiscal, economic, and social changes to the pension system that can increase the benefits of state participation at the macro and micro levels, predicted future results and the benefits of state participation will be analyzed.

International Research Projects
Global programme. Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) -Partners: Moody’s Cooperation (Lithuania), Innovation Agency (Lithuania). Vilnius University Business School is the major coordinator in Lithuania. 2021 – ongoing
The programme began in 1999, and since then the consortium has become the richest source of reliable information on the state of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystems across the globe, publishing not only the GEM Global Report annually but also a range of national and special topics reports each year. GEM‘s study covers around 115 countries from every corner of the globe that have participated in GEM research. The aim of the program is to analyze entrepreneurship which is an essential driver of societal health and wealth. It is also a formidable engine of economic growth. It promotes the essential innovation required not only to exploit new opportunities, promote productivity, and create employment but to also address some of society’s greatest challenges, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or the economic shockwave created by the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic.

European Institute of Innovation and Technology project “UNIcorn: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education)” Fostering Knowledge Transfer from Universities to Business − Innovation to Unicorn. Partners: Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), Tallinn University (Estonia), University of Tartu (Estonia), Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (Latvia), TECNALIA Research & Innovation (Spain). 2021-2023
Project UNIcorn aims to strengthen the consortium universities’ capacity and governance of research commercialization and innovation.The wider objective is to strengthen the Baltic region’s capacity for research commercialization, technology transfer, and entrepreneurial education. The project activities address the role of higher education institutions (HEIs), to produce research to solve societal challenges.

JOINT RESEARCH – ENGAGEMENT – DELIVERY RESEARCH CENTER
Vilnius University Business School and Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) established a joint Research, Engagement and Delivery Research Centre (RED). It is a unique strategic partnership aiming to share focus and expertise in the areas of entrepreneurship, family business, and innovation. It puts in place an initial two-year agreement that will see LUMS establish a base on the Vilnius Business School campus to pursue opportunities for collaborative research and support for high-growth businesses.
