Library services
The VU Library is not only for students! It is the oldest academic library and one of the largest libraries in the Baltic States. The University Library consists of the Central Library, the 24/7 Scientific Communication and Information Centre (SCIC), and the libraries of the faculties and centres. As a VU alumnus, you can make the most of all the benefits:
- read fiction and scientific literature in the library's reading rooms;
- borrow fiction books home;
- work individually at the individual work areas in the library;
- work in groups in dedicated group work rooms and halls;
- use electronic resources while on the VU network.
University Alumni, who have submitted documents confirming their graduation from the University and have registered in the VU Alumni Network, are registered at the Information Desk of the CB, SCIC and ŠAIC and are issued with a VU Library certificate.
Alumni are registered for free but must pay a one-off fee to produce the certificate.
