Valentina Smorgonskytė (Valentyna Smorgonska) (1920–?) was born in Vilnius, in the family of Izaokas Smorgonskis and Estera-Ema Smorgonskienė. In 1933-1938, she studied at the Gymnasium of Eliza Ožeškova in Vilnius (Państwowe Gimnazjum im. Elizy Orzeszkowej w Wilnie). After graduating, in 1939, she entered the Faculty of Law of Stephen Báthory University. In 1940, after the change in government and the restoration of Vilnius University, she submitted a new application to enter the Romance studies at the Faculty of Humanities. She was accepted, but she studied there briefly because on 19 September of 1941 she was expelled from the university on the basis of the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Higher Education Department of the Board of Education, under the authority of the National Socialists. No information on the further fate of Valentina Smorgonskytė is known.
