Rebeka Benskytė (1918–?) was born in Virbalis, Vilkaviškis county (father – Israel Benskis). In 1936, she graduated from a Jewish non-governmental gymnasium in Vilkaviškis. In the autumn of the same year, she applied to the Faculty of Medicine of Vytautas Magnus University but was not accepted. In December, she submitted a second application to the Department of Philology of the Faculty of Humanities and was accepted. In 1940, she was transferred to the Department of History of the Faculty of Humanities of Vilnius University (although she indicated the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the entry form). She did not study there for long because on 19 September 1941 she was expelled from the university on the basis of the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Higher Education Department of the Board of Education, under the authority of the National Socialists. No information on the further fate of Rebeka Benskytė is known.
