Judita Rozencveigaitė was born on 11 February 1919 in Kharkiv (Ukraine). From 1928 she went to the Anna Jablonowska Gymnasium in Bialystok (Poland) and in 1936 passed her graduation examinations in the humanities. A year later she became a student in the philology faculty of the Vilnius Stephen Bathory University. From 1939–1941, she continued to study French at Lviv University (Ukraine). In 1941, she returned to Vilnius and to Vilnius University where she continued as a third-year student of French language and literature, and was exempt from the tuition fees on the rector’s decision. On 19 September 1941, Judita Rozencveigaitė was expelled from the Philology Department of the Faculty of Humanities of Vilnius University on the basis of the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Higher Education Department of the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the Nazis. No further information on Judita and her family has been found.
