Adelė Lazickaitė-Mizarienė was born in Krivonys village, Leipalingis rural district. Adelė finished primary school in 1939. She continued education from 1941 and finished Kretinga gymnasium in 1948. In the same year she became a student at the Stomatology Department of the Medical Faculty of Vilnius University but her studies were soon disrupted by deportation. In March 1949 she was deported to Irkutsk region. In order to continue her studies at another institution of higher learning, she wrote to Vilnius University asking for her school-leaving certificate. She was released from exile as late as in 1957.
