Szaul Szmulewicz (Šaulis Šmulevičius) (1917–?) was born in Piaski, Poland. In 1936, he graduated from the private Jewish Gymnasium of Epstein and Speiser in Vilnius. He was a member of the Pabradė branch of the Komsomol. In 1937, Šmulevičius studied at the Faculty of Law of Stephen Báthory University. In 1938, he studied medicine in Warsaw. Due to the outbreak of the war, he moved to Vilnius. In 1940, Šmulevičius entered the Medical Department of the Faculty of Medicine of Vytautas Magnus University. In the same year, the Rector of Vilnius University allowed him to be transferred to the Medical Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Šmulevičius was removed from the student list pursuant to the Order of 19 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education of the Board of Education. No further information on the fate of Šmulevičius is known.
