Gitel Givovskaitė (1921–?) was born in Rokiškis. In 1940, she graduated from the state-run Juozas Tumas Vaižgantas Gymnasium in Rokiškis. In 1940, she applied for admission to the Faculty of Economics of Vilnius University, but her application was denied. Givovskaitė reapplied for admission to Vilnius University, this time to the History Department at the Faculty of Humanities, but was not accepted for the second time. That same year, Givovskaitė tried to apply to the Faculty of Law at Vilnius University – this time, she succeeded and started her studies. On 19 September 1941, she was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. No further information on the fate of Givovskaitė is known.
