Maušas-Geršonas Gofenbergas (1916–?) was born in Romny. In 1934, he graduated from the private Jewish Gymnasium in Šiauliai. In 1937, he entered the History Department at the Faculty of Humanities of Vytautas Magnus University. In 1938, having been called up for military service, Gofenbergas suspended his studies. In 1940, he applied to continue studying at the History Department at the Faculty of Humanities of Vilnius University and was readmitted. On 19 September 1941, Gofenbergas was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. No further information on the fate of Gofenbergas is known.
