Michał Wajnman (Mykolas Vainmanas) (1922–?) was born in Warsaw. In 1939, he graduated from the private “Collegium” lyceum in Warsaw, having passed his exams under the physics and mathematics programme. That same year, he entered the Chemistry Department of Warsaw University of Technology. When the war broke out, Vainmanas fled to Vilnius as a war refugee. In 1940, he entered the Mathematics Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Vilnius University. On 19 September 1941, Vainmanas was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. No further information on the fate of Vainmanas is known.
