Marija Golubaitė (1921–?) was born in Minsk. In 1939, she graduated from the “Švietimas” private coeducational lyceum in Vilnius. In 1940, Golubaitė applied to study at the Medical Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Vilnius University, but her application was denied due to a lack of available places. That same year, she reapplied for admission to the said department and was accepted. On 19 September 1941, Golubaitė was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. The student’s file includes a 1945 request for issuing her documents; this indicates that Golubaitė survived the Holocaust, but no further information on her fate is known.
