Zelikas Finas (1922–?) was born in Kaunas. In 1940, he graduated from the private 1st Jewish Gymnasium in Kaunas. That same year, he applied for admission to the Medical Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Vilnius University. Although Finas was not accepted to the desired department, he was offered admission to the Mathematics Department of the same faculty. Later, he reapplied to study at the Biology Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and was accepted. On 19 September 1941, Finas was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. No further information on the fate of Finas is known.
