Jokūbas Raffas (1923–?) was born in Vilnius. In 1940, he graduated from the private Jewish Gymnasium of Epstein and Speiser in Vilnius. That same year, he entered the Mathematics Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Vilnius University. On 19 September 1941, Raffas was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. According to the “Yad Vashem” database, Raffas was killed during the Holocaust.
