Witalis Daszkiewicz (1918–?) was born in Vitebsk, into the family of Magdalena and Viktor Daškevič. In 1937, he received his matura certificate after taking exams without attending classes. Later that year, Daškevič applied to study at the Faculty of Law of Stefan Batory University and studied there until 1940. On 15 September that year, he filed an application to continue his studies at Vilnius University. Daškevič was accepted as a student and continued his studies as of the third semester. On 15 September 1942, he filed a request to withdraw all his documents from the university (no reason was specified). In October 1944, Daškevič again applied to resume his studies from the third year. Despite the fact that his application was granted, there are no subsequent documents testifying to his further studies at the university. His name is included in the card-type register of the citizens who went to Poland (LCVA, f. R-841).
