Anatolius (Anatolijus) Mikševičius (1922–1999) was born in Pareigiai Village, Raseiniai District (his father’s name was Mykolas Mikševičius). From 1933 to 1942, he studied at Raseiniai State Gymnasium. In 1942, Mikševičius entered the Biology Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Vilnius University. After the university was closed, he worked on his parents’ farm. In 1944, Mikševičius applied to continue his studies and was accepted. According to the database “Lithuanians in Siberia”, he was arrested in 1945.
