Lithuanian Council for Culture. Strategy for the Development of the CCI of Utena Region and its Implementation Criteria (No. S/TYR-6(6.51)/2017 LSS-280000-443). Prof. J. Černevičiūtė. 2017–2018.
In order to carry out a pilot assessment of the changes in the cultural and creative industries of Utena City and Utena District municipalities and to identify current trends in the development of the cultural and creative industries in this region, the regional strategy papers, the results of their application (statistical indicators) have been investigated. As a result cooperation agreements have been signed between Vilnius University and Utena Business Information Centre.

The Project goal was to analyse the models of creativity and participation, promotion and inclusion in social innovation of the community, to identify the role of creative industries in the regions, to analyse the research already carried out on the impact of creative industries on territorial cohesion, rehabilitation and sustainable development.
Following the encouragement of the creativity and entrepreneurship of local communities, knowledge and skills in the regions of Lithuania could be achieved by accelerating the development of creative industries in the regions that could be the core of the economic well-being of the entire region. Innovation management and creativity training for creative and cultural workers was organized. During the training participants were introduced to the nature of innovations in creative industries and their impact on the economic and social viability of the regions. Participants learned about the process of developing and implementing innovation, learned how to apply creativity, and acquired the ability to work in a diversified innovation team.
Marketing Communication Innovativeness of European Entrepreneurs (MARCIEE). Project coordinator – Universität Kassel. 2015–2017.

The aim of the Project was to strengthen the innovation and professionalism of European entrepreneurs in intercultural communication and marketing in order to create a competitive edge against third-country entrepreneurs. One practical aim of MARCIEE is to strengthen the innovativeness of European entrepreneurs and to professionalize their intercultural communication and marketing activities in order to establish competitive advantages over non-European entrepreneurs.
The international cooperation of doctoral students, post-docs and other interested researchers makes it not only possible for them to have access to data from different European nations, but also to learn how to cope with intercultural challenges. These concern the contents of research activities and the differing research traditions, processes and theoretical explanations across cultures.
PE2020 – Public Engagement Innovations for Horizon 2020. 2014–2017.

The Project goal was to identify, analyse and create new innovative measures for the involvement of society in science (scientific projects, scientific programs) in ensuring dynamic state governance.
(1) A new policy assessment tool was created for science policy participants who will identify, evaluate and successfully transfer innovative social inclusion experiences among European countries, (2) a catalogue of current public inclination innovations was developed, (3) several public engagement practices related to Horizon 2020 program challenges were reviewed and (4) the public access instrument for public inclusion was created.
Project results in general are: external evaluation of PE2020; boosting public and societal engagement; conceptualisation of innovative public engagement; introducing new PE Toolkit.
Baltic Sea Region Interreg project: Baltic Sea Underground Innovation Network. 2017–2020.

The purpose of the project is to develop a service offering of Baltic Sea Region’s (BSR) underground laboratories (UL) in order to develop their capability to offer technology transfer utilizing the facilities and research infrastructures of the ULs for business development. Six underground laboratories are involved in the BSUIN project.
The main outcome of the project is a sustainable network organization, which will disseminate the technical, marketing, operational quality, training and other information about the BSR ULs created during the project. The web based tool and the network organization will be created so that they will provide an open innovation platform for further quality development and innovation and share the best practices for service concepts, facility improvement and methodology recommendations from piloting activities.
The expected results and outcomes of BSUIN project:
- Database consisting of the characterization data related to the Underground Labs in the Baltic Sea region.
- Web based tool that makes the database available.
- Baltic Sea region wide transnational network.
