“All roads lead to Rome!" This ancient saying is still relevant today. The Italian language, literature, and culture can open up many diverse paths.
Students of Italian philology will learn the Italian language professionally, become familiar with the history of Italy, and the history of Italian literature and language. During their studies, they will develop skills to analyze and assess Italian language, culture, and literary phenomena in a broader context. Understanding the cultural and social specifics of the country, graduates will also gain competencies in translation and cultural mediation.
The program is tailored to individual student needs, as it offers the opportunity to choose a certain number of subjects from other fields of study.
Graduates will be able to understand, create, and edit texts of various genres in Italian language, choose appropriate language tools and style, and communicate correctly and effectively in Italian (C1/C2) in various situations. They will be able to research a linguistic or literary problem, describe the results of the research in an academic text, present it publicly, and defend their opinion. They will be able to analyze Italy's sociocultural context, identify the most prominent features of Italian culture, and evaluate it within a broader context.
Comprehensive studies of the Italian language, linguistics, literature, and culture.
Classes taught by highly qualified lecturers, most of whom are native speakers.
Up to 25% of the studies may consist of individualized courses, such as additional studies in another language and culture, or subjects from other fields chosen by the student according to their interests.

Internship opportunities in both Italy and Lithuania, including dialectological expeditions, internships in Italian museum archives, tourism agencies, diplomatic missions, translation agencies, Italian language courses, and business companies.
What comes after?
Graduates of this program will be able to work in business and service companies, educational and cultural institutions, foreign embassies, international organizations, media, tourism, public relations, and creative communication fields, as well as in translation agencies, publishing houses, editorial offices, either as freelancers or as content creators, translators, publishers, and creative communication specialists who create their own jobs.
