This study programme allows you to become fluent in Polish even if you start from zero. It provides you with the possibility to get acquainted with the literature and culture of Poland and other Central and East European countries, as well as with the Polish language and culture of Lithuania, and to master modern methods of language and literature research.

You will learn to analyse and evaluate Polish language, culture and literature in a broader context.

The programme is flexible and open to students' interests, allowing them to choose Minor studies of another language and culture, to freely choose different subjects or to individually direct their studies towards linguistics or literary studies.

 Learning of the Polish language starts in an advanced group.

  • Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Lithuania and Embassy of Lithuania in Poland;

  • International organisations;

  • Cultural institutions (e.g. the Polish Institute in Vilnius, the Adam Mickiewicz Museum in Vilnius, the National Martynas Mažvydas Library of Lithuania);

  • Educational institutions (schools and high schools, language teaching centres);

  • Media field (e.g. "TVP Wilno");

  • Public relations and creative communication field;

  • Translation agencies (e.g. AJ Projects, Vertuum), publishing houses, and editorial offices;

  • Tourism/travel agencies, hotels;

  • Lithuanian and foreign-owned business and service companies (e.g. banks, logistics companies, shared service centres);

  • State and public institutions (e.g. Vilnius Territorial Customs);

  • Graduates can also do freelance jobs or work as self-employed content creators, translators, publishers, and creative communicators.
