VU Signs Cooperation Agreement with Kanazawa University of Japan
Vilnius University (VU) has signed a cooperation agreement with Kanazawa University in Japan to strengthen their partnership and further scientific exchange. The agreement was approved with the signatures of the Rector of Vilnius University, Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas, and the President of Kanazawa University, Prof. Wada Takashi.
"Cooperation with higher education institutions in Japan is essential and valuable due to this country's excellent higher education system and the exceptional ties of friendship. Modern science develops based on such partnerships, and I believe that joint projects, student exchanges, and new friendships will further strengthen the mutual respect between Japan and Lithuania and encourage interest in each other's cultures and intellectual life," said Prof. R. Petrauskas, Rector of Vilnius University.
The two institutions have pledged to promote and develop cooperation in the following areas: exchanges of teachers, scholars, and students, exchange of academic materials, publications, and information, joint research projects, and symposia. Other activities related to academic exchanges and the development of cooperation between the two institutions are also envisaged.
