VU Signed a Revised MOU with an Indonesian University. Photo by Edgaras KurauskasThe delegation of Indonesia Nusa Cendana University visited Vilnius University on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of cooperation between Lithuania and Indonesia. The Rectors of both universities signed an updated Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

MOU expressed a mutual accord to enhance the academic exchanges in the fields of life and technological sciences. The first MOU concentrated on health and medical sciences only.

Fredrick L. Ben, the Rector of Nusa Cendana University and Jūras Banys, Acting Rector of Vilnius University discussed the possibility to exchange personnel as well as students of joint master's and doctoral degree programs in biotechnology, chemistry , biology sciences.  Both sides agreed on the need to set up a special team from the VU and Nusa Cendana University representatives.

The Nusa Cendana University was established 52 years ago, it has 11 faculties, about 22 thousand students and over 800 teachers.
