The Endowment Sub-Fund is a sustainable model of support management, where the support received is not spent, but invested intelligently in a variety of asset classes, with the returns earned on the investments being allocated to the needs of the Faculty. The Faculty aims to strengthen the scientific community, and the sub-fund's return on investment will be used to provide scholarships for the best-performing male and female students, to set up postdoctoral internships, and in the future, to improve the research infrastructure.

"The Faculty community welcomes the launch of the Endowment Sub-Fund. This event opens up a wide range of opportunities for the growth and development of the Faculty. The Sub-Fund will provide a solid basis for long-term investments, which will ensure the financial stability of the Faculty and will enable the implementation of important projects," says prof. habil. dr. Aivaras Kareiva, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences.

It is hoped that this Sub-Fund will be an important impulse for the whole Faculty community, inspiring new ideas, cooperation and the desire to improve. The Faculty is open to cooperation with all stakeholders who wish to contribute to this important goal.
