VU Business School Became the First Business School in the Baltic States to Receive the Prestigious ACBSP Accreditation

VU x ACBSPVilnius University Business School (VU BS) became the first business school in the Baltic States to receive the prestigious ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs) accreditation from the United States. 

Business schools seeking ACBSP accreditation are evaluated based on seven criteria: leadership, strategic planning, students and stakeholders, students' achievements, lecturers' qualifications, study programs, and development.

VU Business School was granted candidate status – the process took time due to the exceptionally high-quality requirements of ACBSP, assessing readiness for accreditation.

"We decided to pursue ACBSP accreditation because of our shared philosophy – this accreditation focuses on students, the quality of teaching and learning, and the relationship with the real business environment," said VU Business School Director Dr. Birutė Miškinienė.

Chairman of the ACBSP Board, Dr. Thomas J. Eveland highlighted the uniqueness of VU Business School in combining studies and entrepreneurship: "Here, students are not only provided with knowledge relevant to today’s business but also develop long-term skills for commercializing business innovations in the future."

According to Dr. Thomas J. Eveland, ACBSP accreditation will allow VU Business School to establish regional leadership, and this international recognition will undoubtedly be beneficial for both - current and future students.

This accreditation will further strengthen the international recognition of VU Business School and the entire Vilnius University.
