The Book “Zero Bone Loss Concepts” by Vilnius University Professor Tomas Linkevičius Was the Most Popular Reading Content in 2020
The Quintessence Publishing database announced the list of the most popular reading content during the lockdown in 2020, and the book “Zero Bone Loss Concepts” by PhD Tomas Linkevičius, a dental practitioner and a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University (VU), is ranked first in the list.
In his book, “Zero Bone Loss Concepts” (“The Development and Maintenance of Bone Stability around Implants”) Prof Linkevičius touches upon a dilemma, which is familiar to every dental implant specialist, i.e. how to prevent bone loss around implants? The author gives a consistent guide how to avoid this problem and guarantee the quality and longevity of the treatment procedure.
The implant and prosthetic concept entitled “Zero Bone Loss Concepts”, developed and patented by the researcher of VU Faculty of Medicine, is currently among the most popular treatment methodologies worldwide. The dental practitioner applies innovations described in his book in his daily practice; therefore, Prof Linkevičius’s patients receive treatment that is currently the most advanced around the globe.
The professor is a world-renowned dental practitioner actively engaged in international initiatives. Since 2013, he has been giving lectures and delivering training to professionals both in Lithuania and various places in the world: USA, India, Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Jordan, and other countries. Before the pandemic, the annual two-day training was organised in Vilnius upon the researcher’s initiative, and this event was highly appreciated by many dental specialists worldwide. The purpose of training was to acquaint dental specialists with the “Zero Bone Loss Concepts” treatment methodology.
PhD T. Linkevičius joined the team of VU Institute of Dentistry back in 2008 and has been working as the professor since September 2018. He has been delivering practical training for students and seminars for residents, as well as giving lectures. Prof Linkevičius has also been supervising PhD thesis preparation and defence.
