The Arqus Steering Committee and the Vice-Rectors’ Council meet at the University of Minho to follow up the Workplan 22-26 and discuss different projects
On 22nd and 23rd June, the members of the Arqus Steering Committee and the Vice-Rectors’ Council meet in Guimarães at the 56th Steering Committee meeting of the Alliance to oversee the progress of the Arqus Work Plan for 2022-2026, including the status of the different projects of the Alliance.
The event was opened by the Rector of the University of Minho, Dr Rui Vieira de Castro, and the Arqus Coordinator Dr Dorothy Kelly, from the University of Granada. On the first day, a general overview of the Alliance state of the art will be held. Besides the insights offered by the Coordination Team, every university member, as well as the Student Council and the different Action Line Boards will present their news and updates.
The programme of the first session will be completed with a discussion on pending issues like the updates of the Arqus language policy and the renewal of the Open Mobility Agreement in the framework 2023-2028. Furthermore, the current status of the different projects within the Alliance will also be commented on: Arqus II, Arqus R&I, WIDARE, EDLab, and Cyberactioning.
Finally, different groups of discussion will work on the revision of the foundational documents of the Arqus governing structures. The implementation of different guidelines will also be discussed.
The second day will be focused on the global dimension of Arqus and its cooperation with other partners. Moreover, the coordination and internal information flow among the different Arqus bodies will be analysed before a final recapitulation.
