Scholar of Vilnius University – Among the Most Cited in the World
Linda D. Hollebeek, a Principal Research Fellow of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Vilnius University (VU) has been awarded by Clarivate as the world’s most influential researcher. She became selected among the few most frequently cited researchers over the last decade.
Linda D. Hollebeek, who joined the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in September 2021, was awarded the 2021 Most Cited Researcher Award at the end of the year. In 2021, fewer than 6,700, or about 0.1%, of the world's researchers have earned this exclusive distinction in 21 research fields and across multiple fields. Linda D. Hollebeek ranked 1641st of all scientists, across all disciplines (2020-2021) and 8th in the subfield of Marketing (2020-2021). Linda D. Hollebeek is the first member of Vilnius University to join this elite group of highly cited and globally recognized researchers.
Linda D. Hollebeek‘s main field of research is Marketing and within that, her research focuses on Customer/Consumer Engagement.
„When I started working on this topic in 2009, there was significant managerial interest in it, but the scientific literature was lacking, opening up an important research opportunity,“ said she.
Linda D. Hollebeek enjoyed a research-oriented environment at Vilnius University and fruitful communication with the Head of the Marketing Department Prof. Sigitas Urbonavičius, which encouraged her to join the Vilnius University, research team.

Despite the fact that Linda has only been working at Vilnius University for a few months (since September), she has already achieved a number of significant results together with her colleagues from the FEBA Marketing Department. Linda D.Hollebeek, together with her Vilnius University co-authors, has produced and published several scientific publications in high-level journals, as well as produced (at various stages of the peer-review process) and is currently working on a number of new publications using the VU affiliation. Linda has also become a member of the editorial board of the VU journal Organizations and Markets in Emerging Economies.
