For the Third Time, the Integration Festival Ad Astra Starts
On August 31st, the integration festival “Ad astra”, which is being held for the third year for the University community and the whole city of Vilnius, will take place. During the event six discussions on social, equal opportunities, scientific and study-related topics will be waiting for the students and visitors as well as the Contact fair of student VU organizations and various workshops.
“This is the best opportunity to welcome the study year, to meet colleagues we have not seen in a long time - before September 1st. And since University life is inseparable from discussions on various topics, first of all I want to invite you for them! And at the same time - for fun and time together, for discovering future spaces for sel-expression”, says VU SR president Neda Žutautaitė.
In the discussions, we will raise questions about how - what kind of Lithuania we want to see in the 2050s, how higher education is changing society and the state, why it is important to acquire not only subject but also personal competences, what is the difference between a school and the University, whether our habits should change in order to grow the planet, etc.
Members of the Vilnius University community , scientists, representatives of the public and other honored guests will share their thoughts and insights.
Discuccions will be held in Lithuanian and English languages.
Contact Fair of student and Vilniaus university organizations is a great opportunity to get acquainted with student and Vilnius university organzations - of which there are over 40 at Vilnius University - to ask millions of questions and find like-minded people.
The integration festival will take place in the VU Great, M. K. Sarbievijus, Mikalojus Daukša, the Observatory and Adomas Mickevičius courtyards (Universiteto g. 3, Vilnius). The discussion festival is organized by the Students’ Representation of Vilnius University.
