Filming at Vilnius UniversityThe crew of the School Television IgnaśTV came to Vilnius for a three-day filming at the Vilnius University, where Ignacy Domeyko used to study. The film crew started the filming at the university library following with the filming in the White Hall and the Grand Courtyard. More filming will be done at other locations around Vilnius, including the Basilian Cloister.


The project „Skarb Domeyki / El tesoro de Domeyko" is a social, educational and charitable undertaking. The main goal of the project is to promote the knowledge about Ignacy Domeyko among youth, in particular. The project consists of the full-length feature film Domeyko's Treasure – an adventure movie and a series of educational films.

Apart from the educational values, an additional aspect of this project is cultural exchange. Many meetings, conferences and symposiums will be held in relation to Ignacy Domeyko and his life time achievements in different locations.
During the filming the crew of the School Television IgnaśTV will visit Lithuania, France, Chile and Poland. The film will tell a fictional story about two young people travelling the world following Domeyko's footsteps: Vilnius, Krakow, Paris, Warsaw, La Serena, Coquimbo, Antofagasta, San Pedro de Atacama, Santiago.

The premiere of the film is scheduled for the summer of 2016.
