Lagarde participated in the Bank of Lithuania's annual economic conference on Monday, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the euro introduction, where she delivered the keynote speech on eurozone monetary policy and took part in a discussion on European economic and political resilience amid global geopolitical changes.

The event, moderated by Linas Tarasonis, Principal Economist at Lietuvos Bankas and Senior Research Fellow at Vilnius University, brought together students primarily from the prestigious Quantitative Economics undergraduate program. This initiative, launched in 2018 by Lietuvos Bankas researchers trained at the world’s leading universities, has become a cornerstone of economics education in Lithuania.

They delved into Eurozone integration, discussing fiscal policies and banking union to ensure long-term economic stability and cohesion.
