Dr. Inga Griškova-Bulanova Has Been Elected as the Head of the Lithuanian Neuroscience Association

Inga Griškova BulanovaDr. Inga Griškova-Bulanova, head of the Center for Applied Sciences at the Institute of Translational Health Research at Vilnius University’s Faculty of Medicine (VU MF), has been elected as the new chairperson of the Lithuanian Neuroscience Association (LNA). She succeeds Professor Osvaldas Rukšėnas, who led the association for many years.

"Becoming the head of the LNA means taking responsibility for ensuring that Lithuania and the world are aware of our neuroscientists, their work, and their achievements. The LNA’s vision is to create a visible and active Lithuanian neuroscience community. I plan to initiate a mentorship program where experienced specialists will advise students and early-career researchers. Mentors will provide guidance on research methods, career development, and project writing. The goal of this mentorship program is to foster the development of a qualified and collaborative neuroscience community," commented Dr. Inga Griškova-Bulanova.

Dr. Inga Griškova-Bulanova is an experienced neuroscientist with 20 years of research into the origins and changes in observable electrical brain states in the context of everyday functioning, diagnostics, and clinical applications. She has published more than 50 articles in indexed journals and actively collaborates with researchers in Lithuania, the European Union, and other countries. Additionally, she participates in international scientific projects, many of which she leads.

Dr. Griškova-Bulanova also serves as a board member and treasurer of the International Pharmaco-EEG Society (IPEG, starting in 2024), a national representative in the ALBA Network (since 2023), a national representative of the International Brain Research Organization (since 2017), a member of the DANA Alliance for Brain Initiatives (since 2015), the European Dana Alliance for the Brain (since 2013), and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS, since 2008).
