St. Johns' Church Bell Tower at Vilnius University built in baroque style 400 years ago is the tallest building in the Old Town of Vilnius – viewing area is installed at the top of the Bell Tower where visitors may see a panorama of Vilnius city from the 60 meters height. Authentic wooden stairs lead to the observation area, though there is also a possibility to reach it be an elevator – less romantic way, though.
Visitors are usually fascinated by Foucault's Pendulum demonstrating the effect of rotation of the Earth. The socket of pendulum entrenchment is installed on the second floor of the Bell Tower. During the day, the swinging ball changes its position and imitates the rotation of the Earth.
