Arqus Annnounces the Results of the 1st Call for Implementing Mobility Windows
The Arqus Alliance is delighted to announce the results of the 1st call for the implementation of mobility windows! Three mobility windows have been selected for funding of €3000 each.
The call for implementing mobility windows was open from December 2023 until the end of February 2024. The primary objective of this call is to establish mobility windows to not only enhance the attractiveness but also the excellence of both study programs and virtual and physical mobility. Students will gain from a supplementary offering and additional international study opportunities, ultimately elevating the overall quality of the academic offerings.
The Alliance is convinced that including structured mobility into the curriculum will reduce mobility barriers, foster student and staff mobility and will increase the visibility of new, innovative and international learning opportunities.
After this initial call, funding will be allocated to three mobility windows, each receiving €3000. Among these, two will be developed by the University of Padua: one between the University of Padua (led by coordinating Professor Francesca Bassi) and Maynooth University, and another between the University of Padua (led by coordinating Professor Lara Maritan) and the University of Granada. The third mobility window will be developed by the University of Graz (Coordinating Lecturer Eva Fleiß) in collaboration with the University of Padua.
The chosen mobility windows will be developed within the fields of Statistics, Geological Sciences, and Environment, Climate Change and Sustainability.
The Coordinators of all three mobility windows have opted to commence with a exchange of up to 5 students in these bilateral collaborations. However, they are intent on broadening cooperation and potentially incorporating additional partner universities in the future. All three professors underscored the prospective benefits for students in broadening their knowledge and enhancing the quality and diversity of academic offerings among partner universities.
The Coordinating Professors of the selected activities will receive an email from the Local Coordinators confirming the receipt of funding and outlining the subsequent steps for development.
The results are also accessible in the Implementation of Mobility Windows section of the website.
