8th Edition of the Arqus Cafés: Call for Tutors
Would you like to be a language tutor at the 8th edition of the Arqus Café? Arqus is about to start its new round of the Arqus Cafés. If you want to participate as a tutor in any language sessions, keep reading!
The Arqus Café is a virtual meeting place where students and staff from the Arqus partner universities can practice their language skills outside of the language classroom. It’s an excellent opportunity for students to expand their language and cultural knowledge informally together with other language learners.
We are looking for volunteers who would like to lead a language café in their native level language.
Your task as a tutor is to support and guide the conversation in your language and to encourage the participants in their language learning. We will provide you with training, guidelines, topics, and strategies for leading the sessions. In many cases, we will be able to have two tutors per language so that you can work together with another tutor and/or alternate leading sessions.
Interested who want to share their knowledge and help others to achieve their language skills, just need to fill in this form and become a tutor for the Arqus Café! Please, take into account that the 8th edition of the Arqus Café will start on 11th March and will run until 21st June 2024.
The cafés will take place once a week for one hour and selected tutors can offer a session at a time that fits their schedule as well.
All languages are welcome and there will be a preparatory workshop for all tutors. They will also receive a certificate of participation that will detail their work as a tutor.
