Winter School and Student-led Forum on Climate Change
In the spring semester of 2021, Vilnius university participates in the ARQUS programme along with other six European universities. The goal of the programme is to train problem-oriented thinking while analyzing a currently hot topic of climate change.
Vilnius university is organizing two teams with six participants each to represent the university and the city of Vilnius in the programme’s activities during the Winter school, Student-led forum and spring semester. Winter school and Student-led forum are week long intensive activities, during them the participants will have an opportunity to attend keynote lectures of well-known European scientists, as well as participate in international discussions about the climate change. During the spring semester, participants will attend weekly meetings to analyze the topics of climate change and its risk in the local, regional and global contexts.
Participation in the programme will be awarded 5 ECTS credits according to an individual study plan. By participating in this programme you will gain experience in team work, data collection, analysis and presentation, as well as establish connections with foreign universities.
It does not matter if you come from economy, ecology, law, linguistics, history or medicine background. Everyone is invited to apply to the teams1!

1The activity is recommended for students in 3rd or later year of bachelor studies, and for all students in masters studies. Other requirements: fluent communication in spoken and written English language.
