Training About the Protection of Intellectual Property
Doctoral students from Vilnius University (VU) and universities belonging to the Arqus Alliance are invited to participate in specialized training aimed at acquiring knowledge about the protection and commercialization of intellectual property.
This course in IPR will provide an introduction to the different types of intellectual property rights (IPR) and how to navigate in the world of IP. Among others, the course will provide knowledge about patenting, trademarks and design, while also give an overview of valuable IP tools to use. Further, the course will also provide insights within commercialisation of IP rights and how to move a start-up/spin-out forward.
Programme:
- Introduction to IPR and when to use different kinds of IPR
- Patent and utility models
- Trademarks and design protection
- Search tools and typical pitfalls when patenting in different industries
- Commercial assessment of IP and technology

The training will be led by representatives of Plaugmann Vingtoft (Denmark).

The participation certificates will be issued only for those participants who will attend at least 4 training sessions out of 5.
