Registrations Open for Summer Course of Portuguese as a Foreign Language

The registrations are now open for the 33rd Summer PLE Course at BabeliUM – Language Centre of the School of Letters, Arts and Human Sciences, which will run from 3rd to 28th July and is offered for the first time to the Arqus community. The course has 72 hours of classes and various cultural activities, such as field trips or discussion groups. The course comprises two different levels (A1/A2 and B1/B1+) and the students will acquire not only language skills but also cultural ones.

The inaugural session will take place on the 3rd of July, at 10 am, in the Auditorium of the School of Arts and Human Sciences, in Braga. At the end of the course, students will receive a Certificate detailing their level of achievement, as set out by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Students enrolled in the Summer Course may apply for a scholarship offered by BabeliUM. The scholarships (1 Elementary and 1 Intermediate), in the amount of € 480 each, cover the
enrolment in the above-mentioned course, to be held from 3rd to 28th of July, encompassing a total number of 72 teaching hours.

Those interested in applying should send the motivation letter (1 page), CV (preferably Euro-CV) and proof of enrolment in a Language Centre member of CERCLES, in a BabeliUM’s partner University and/or in an ARQUS University to . Documents may be in any of the following languages: German, Spanish, French, English, Italian or Portuguese. Receipt of candidature is valid until 28th May 2023.
