Vilniaus universitetas (VU) visus inovacijų entuziastus kviečia į naujos Technologijų uosto (Tech Hub) startuolių bendradarbystės erdvės atidarymo šventę. Tikimasi, kad patalpos taps verslo ir inovatyvių idėjų inkubatoriumi, kuriame studentai ir kiti norintys savo idėjas paversti verslu galėtų ne tik naudotis darbo vietomis, bet ir dalyvauti organizuojamuose hakatonuose, konferencijose, praktinėse dirbtuvėse.

„Tech Hub erdvės tikslas – paskatinti startuolių kūrimą ir inovacijų plėtrą universitete. Džiaugiamės, kad šios veikloms vykdyti nuo šiol turėsime tam pritaikytas patalpas, kuriose startuoliai ir kiti inovatoriai galės burtis, dalintis gerosiomis patirtimis ir kurti pridėtinę vertę Lietuvos verslo ekosistemoje”,– sako TechHub startuolių pre-akceleratoriaus vadovas, VU Ekonomikos ir verslo administravimo fakulteto partnerysčių prodekanas Gediminas Rumšas.

Idėja sukurti tokią erdvę kilo prieš maždaug ketverius metus. Tuo metu buvo pradėta vystyti ir startuolių pre-akceleravimo programos idėja. Jau beveik dvejus metus VU Technologijų uostas kartu su Inovacijų agentūra (seniau – Mokslo, inovacijų ir technologijų agentūra (MITA)) vykdo pre-akceleratorių – trijų mėnesių trukmės intensyvius mokymus startuoliams ir norintiems juos įkurti.

Iki šiol programą baigė 110 startuolių iš Lietuvos ir užsienio, dar 20 joje dalyvauja šiuo metu. Per dvejus metus suorganizuoti  iš viso 6 pre-akceleratoriaus ciklai. Programoje dalyvaujančias komandas sudaro daugiau nei 300 žmonių. Startuoliai iki šiol jau pritraukė daugiau nei 5mln. Eur investicijų, dalis jų dalyvavo akceleravimo programose užsienyje, gavo finansavimą iš įvairių ES paramos priemonių, privačių investuotojų, verslo angelų.

Geriausius pre-akceleratoriuje dalyvavusius startuolius galėsite išvysti ir renginyje vyksiančiose prisistatymo kovose (angl. Pitch Battle). 8 komandos (Benme, IMINT.AI, StackFlows, MOKOSI, Bbright, Qrtido, Seqvision, Curtains Calculator) rungsis dėl geriausio Tech Hub startuolio titulo, juos vertins ir laimėtojus išrinks patyrusi investuotojų ir inovacijų ekspertų komisija. Taip pat renginio metu dalyviai bus kveičiami dalyvauti diskusijoje apie universiteto reikšmę startuolių ekosistemoje.

Iki šiol Tech Hub pre-akceleratoriaus programos užsiėmimai daugiausia vyko nuotoliniu būdu arba kitose universiteto patalpose. Planuojama, kad patalpomis startuolio reikmėms laisvai galės naudotis visi programos dalyviai. Turintys inovatyvių idėjų asmenys ir startuoliai registruotis į kitą pre-akceleratoriaus ciklą bus kviečiami 2022m. rudenį.

Vilnius University (VU) invites all innovation enthusiasts to the opening ceremony of the new Tech Hub start-up cooperation space. It is hoped that the room will become an incubator for business and innovative ideas, where students and others can turn their ideas into business not only through workplaces, but also from participating in hackathons, conferences and workshops.

“The purpose of the Tech Hub space is to encourage the creation of start-ups and the development of innovations at the university. We are glad that from now on we will have suitable premises for these activities, where start-ups and other innovators will be able to gather, share good practices and create added value in the Lithuanian business ecosystem, ” - says Tech Hub Start-up Pre-Accelerator director, VU Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Vice-dean for Partnership and Projects Gediminas Rumšas.

The idea to create such a space arose about four years ago. At that time, the idea of a pre-acceleration program for starters was also developed. For almost two years now, VU Technology Port, together with the Innovation Agency (formerly the Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA)), has been conducting preliminary accelerators - three months of intensive training for start-ups and those wishing to settle down. put them up.

So far, 110 starters from Lithuania and abroad have completed the program, and currently another 20 are participating. A total of 6 pre-accelerator cycles have been organized in two years. The teams participating in the program consist of more than 300 people. Start-ups have already attracted more than 5 million Eur investments, part of which participated in acceleration programs abroad, received funding from various EU support measures, private investors, business angels.

You will also be able to see the best starters who participated in the pre-acceleration in the Pitch Battle at the event. 8 teams (Benme, IMINT.AI, StackFlows, MOKOSI, Bbright, Qrtido, Seqvision, Curtains Calculator) will compete for the title of the best Tech Hub starter, they will be evaluated and the winners will be selected by an experienced panel of investors and innovation experts. Also during the event, participants will be invited to participate in a discussion about the role of the university in the start-up ecosystem.

Until now, Tech Hub pre-accelerator program classes have mostly been held remotely or at other university facilities. It is planned that the premises for the needs of the start-up will be freely available to all participants of the program. Individuals and starters with innovative ideas will be invited to register for the next pre-accelerator cycle in the fall.

The opening ceremony will take place on June 16 at 4 p.m. Saulėtekio al. 9, 2nd floor of VU Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (VU Tech Hub premises).
