To access VU e-services (e-mail, VU Information System, Eduroam, VPN and etc.) are used by VU E-Identity.
A student, having started his studies at Vilnius University, must register to VU e-identity management system at https://id.vu.lt/ by clicking on the "REGISTER" button.
You need to know the student ID number for registration.
Bachelor and Master students can find out their registration / study book / ID numbers from the department's administration through published student lists or through a designated study curator.
Doctoral students and Residents can find out about it at the Doctoral and Residency Department.
Students of international programs (eg. Erasmus) can find their registration / study book / ID numbers in the International Programs and Communications Department. During registration, enter your registration number and date of birth.
When you sign up in the e-Identity Management System https://id.vu.lt/,it provides the following e-services:
- VU email address and mailbox
- Access to VU IS Studies Virtual Student Workstation eStudent
- Permission to connect to VU VPN
- Permission to connect to wireless network eduroam
- Access to shared computers

ACCESS TO VU IS VIRTUAL STUDENT WORKSTATIONeSTUDENT (VU IS)
Virtual Student Workstation at VU IS eStudent is an online repository of all study information related to a particular student. Student logged into IS:
- sees their personal data, extracts from orders, study program plan, session schedule, session results, placement in the best queue for learners, information on benefits received (scholarships), etc .;
- print out tuition fee receipts;
- Can choose free and elective subjects;
- Can place written papers in the Electronic Document Information System (ETD);
E-MAIL
At Vilnius University, all students are given registered e-mail accounts and the possibility to use electronic group messaging service - mail conferences.
VU e-mail system enables fast and reliable e-mail transmissionto study friends, classmates, colleagues and teachers- both internal and external e-mail delivery is guaranteed.

OFFICE 365 COOPERATION ENVIRONMENT
VU students are provided with the Office 365 ProPlus suite of applications consisting of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook. It can be installed by logging into your Office 365 student account on five of your own devices: computers (Windows and macOS), tablets or phones. It also comes with 1 TB OneDrive data storage
PRINTING, COPYING AND SCANNING SERVICE
All students have the ability to print, copy and scan on a unified system on multifunction devices. The account can be replenished at the library and you can manage your orders and view history on the self-service website (print.vu.lt).
COMMUNALUSE COMPUTER ROOMS
On weekdays from 8 am to 7 pm Vilnius University students can use Saulėtekio al. 9 (Chamber II) the communal computer room.
It is equipped with 118 computerized workstations with Internet access, office and other application packages.
Given resources:
Each user has 500 MB of disk space on the server for storing information. This information can only be accessed by the user himself from any computer in the room.
The same data is also available when connecting to visitor computers at MKIC.
VU VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK (VU VPN)
VU Virtual Private Network is a computer network service that allows students of Vilnius University to securely connect to the University computer network and use the services provided on this network.
For example, connecting to a VPN at home provides access to faculty information resources and services, VU library electronic resources, and VU email, send email from an server, email clients, etc.
VU VPN users must comply with Computer network acceptable use policy.
Using a VPN on a VU network is not recommended as it offers no benefits and limits the use of computer network resources.

WIRELESS NETWORK “eduroam”
Vilnius University provides free access to eduroam (Education Roaming), an international wireless network for academic organizations (Wi-Fi).
The University community can use it in the specified areas of VU departments, other Lithuanian and foreign academic organizations.
Most eduroam communication zones (not all faculties) also have an open “info” network (no username and password required). It is intended for access only to the main VU websites and information on joining eduroam.

VU VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
This is
e. a learning medium where you can find educational materials, take self-test tests, participate in a variety of learning activities, as well as interact in forums, chat rooms or by text messaging.
VU Virtual Learning Environment is a student-centered learning tool that allows both the lecturer and the student to collaborate closely and master the subject. This environment makes studies more flexible and more student- and teacher-oriented. Advantages and opportunities of VMA:
- all learning information can be found in one place
- more convenient holding of exams and interim payments
- communication between faculty and students, consultation and provision of feedback
- video lecture preview
- lecture / seminar interactivity
- during the exam or mid-term examination, ensures transparency of the value the student can choose a convenient time, place and duration of studies
