The Applied Biosystems 3130xl Genetic Analyzer 16-capillary automated DNA sequencer that yields 700 to 1000 bases per template. It performs cycle sequencing reactions using fluorescent dye ter­minators ABI Big Dye® Terminator v3.1 on any kind of DNA (plasmid, phage or PCR product) provided by the users.

Technical characteristics
The sequence of the subject DNA is determined by an automatic 16 capillary genetic analyzer 3130xl (Applied Biosystems), which perform electrophoresis of a fluorescent-labeled DNA fragments, fluorescent-labeled ddNTP detection and computerized setting-up of the sequence.
